"Patricia Ortiz established the Zolo winery in the Luján de Cuyo region of Mendoza in 2004 and brought in talented winemakers Fabian Valenzuela and Jean Claude Berrouet (former Pétrus winemaker) to work with the estate-grown fruit. Over the weekend, we promoted the Zolo Sauvignon Blanc, and it flew out the door. The Zolo wines are unbelievable values and have long been favorites here at The Wine House. Today we have another terrific example: a 91 point unoaked Chardonnay for under $10!

The 2019 Zolo Unoaked Chardonnay is just delicious, with a beautiful tropical fruit nose followed by lush melon and stone fruit, and a touch of lime zest in the mouth. Description: We strive for a fruit-focused Chardonnay with great tropical fruit and pear aromas with a clean, crisp balance.
Label Notes: Owner and President Patricia Ortiz spends much of the week working in Mendoza, leaving her husband alone – solo/Zolo – in Buenos Aires.

Winemaking: After the grapes are cooled, they enter a pneumatic press with a nitrogen blanketing system (the only press of its kind in Argentina). Before and during the gentle pressing of the grapes, nitrogen is introduced which eliminates all contact with oxygen during the whole process. This creates greater aromatic intensity.

ABOUT ZOLO

Zolo is one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Argentina. Zolo selects grapes from estate vineyards in Agrelo and Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Located at various altitudes, each of these terroirs provides a different expression of fruit and varietal concentration. The winemakers are Fabian Valenzuela and Jean Claude Berrouet (former Petrus winemaker), the vineyard manager is Carlos Correas, and the President and owner is Patricia Ortiz.

The purpose of the winery's Zolo classic line is to create a family of fruit-forward, great value wines, which can be enjoyed with a wide range of food or by themselves. The Zolo Reserves and Zolo Blacks, with their ultra-high concentration, long ageing in new French oak, and aromatic complexity are made for those special occasions when one needs a wine to "blow your hat off."

1) Place your online order.
- You will receive 2 emails. The first will acknowledge receipt of your order and the second will let you know that your order is ready for pickup.

2) Please reply to the second email to tell us you want curbside pickup. IMPORTANT: If you have multiple orders to consolidate, please let us know as we will need extra time to get those to the front of the store!
- We will prepare your order(s), move them to the front of the store and send you a confirmation email that curbside pickup is ready.

3) Pull up in front of the store. There is no need to call when you arrive at the store – just roll down your passenger window and let us know the name on the order(s).
- We will put your order(s) in your vehicle. There is no need to step out of your vehicle.

Due to the large number of phone calls we have been receiving and the time it takes to consolidate orders, please reply to the email letting you know that your wine is ready for pickup and give us time stage and consolidate your order(s). There is no need to phone the store to arrange curbside pickup.
