FEW Spirits Single Barrel Wine House Select Rye Whiskey
Rye has enjoyed a well-deserved resurgence, and the FEW Spirits Single Barrel Wine House Select Rye Whiskey is perfect to enjoy in classic or modern cocktails. FEW Spirits has won numerous gold medals for their rye whiskey (Craft Whiskey of the year from Whiskey Advocate, Gold Medal from World Whiskey Awards, International Whiskey Competition and Beverage Tasting Institute). FEW Spirits are truly handcrafted, small batch spirits… the antithesis of mass production, corporate products. Rye is a classic American spirit that is enjoying a well-deserved resurgence. Used in classic cocktails such as a Manhattan or Sazerac, as well as a host of modern twists, the possibilities are endless for enjoying this remarkable spirit.
FEW Spirits describe their rye as follows: 'The generous rye content is married with the sweetness of corn for a genteel interpretation of the venerable spirit. Patiently aged in air-dried oak barrels, its spicy
character transcends mere resurgence. Behold – the renaissance of rye.' The Wine House has selected a single barrel after tasting numerous samples (we have so much fun here!) and we are delighted that it has been bottled and is now in store!

ABOUT FEW SPIRITS
For nearly a century, Evanston, Illinois, the home of the Temperance Movement, was a dry city. In dire need of liquor laws that weren't penned the same year as the invention of the band-aid, FEW's master distiller overturned century-old prohibition laws to become Evanston's first distiller of grain spirits within the city limits.

Stranahan's Wine House Exclusive Single Barrel Colorado Whiskey
Master Distiller, Rob Dietrich, in collaboration with The Wine House staff, hand-selected this particular barrel for its incredible balance! Made with 100% malted barley, aged between two and four years in new, medium charred American White Oak, and cut down to 94 proof using Colorado's Rocky Mountain Spring water. This smooth, complex whiskey won us over in our barrel taste tests, and we're thrilled to add it to our Wine House single barrel collection!
TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Damp earth, white chocolate and almonds. Taste: Buttery smooth, butter-pecan and bananas. Spicy and sweet at the same time. Finish: The complexity is apparent and the finish is persistent, long lasting and very balanced!
ABOUT STRANAHAN'S
The first (legal) whiskey to come out of Colorado, Stranahan's is one of the rarest and most sought after American spirits. Their whiskey is completely unique – made of 100% Rocky Mountain malted barley and aged in new white American Oak barrels, it's essentially a hybrid of Scotch and Bourbon
with a Colorado soul. Each batch of Stranahan's has its own unique character, and many batches have already been awarded "liquid gold" status from Jim Murray's celebrated Whiskey Bible. Each bottle has a handwritten label with comments from the distilling team on what they are doing during the production process, and every batch is hand-bottled by a team of local whiskey-loving volunteers.

FROM THE DISTILLER
"Pristine water, naturally filtered through Kentucky's underground lime stone deposits, is used exclusively in the 100% copper distilling process. The Melody family yeast, a zealously guarded secret handed down through 8 generations is then added to the mash. After double distilling, the whiskey is then stored in the finest charred new white oak barrels and allowed to age unhurried to its peak of flavor."

Bernheim Single Barrel 7 year Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey Wine House Select
Our exclusive, single barrel, wheat whiskey is perfect on the rocks, in cocktails… or as a gift! Bernheim Wheat Whiskey can't technically be called bourbon because it does not have the minimum 51% corn in its mash – it's made from winter wheat, for a softer texture, with a sweeter, lighter flavor. Our exclusive barrel has a touch more spice and oak to balance the sweetness of the wheat whiskey. When we tasted the barrel samples, we kept going back for more of this one!
Bernheim Whiskey, named for the magnificent and monolithic distillery and its
namesake Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, is one of Heaven Hill's innovative new products developed after the purchase of the distillery in the late 90s. IW Bernheim was the famous creator of the IW Harper brand and godfather of the Louisville whiskey scene. His namesake product, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey, uses an unusually mashbill of 51% wheat, 39% corn and 10% malt. The idea behind the high wheat whiskey was to design a softer flavor profile that would appeal to a broad range of people. The high wheat content means we don't have the spice of a rye heavy bourbon, but that does not mean they are lacking in complexity.
Tasting Notes: The whiskey has tons of rich vanilla, soft fruit and subtle barrel spice. Medium bodied and easy drinking with absolutely no bite, this is an easy going yet distinctive whiskey.
